Two-Lane Blacktop

The onscreen guide sums it up: "Two guys and a gal in a souped-up 1955 Chevy race an older guy in a GTO." They don't tell you the two guys are musicians James Taylor and Dennis Wilson, and "GTO" is Western character actor Warren Oates. This is one I highly recommend, along with "Vanishing Point," another classic 70's road movie. Previous Ebay auctions for Two-Lane Blacktop sometimes go for over a hundred bucks, though there are U.S. Region 1 versions listed for under 20 bucks right now. On Amazon it's still running about 80 bucks.
